Sue Ellen Sarsam is a Certified Nurse Midwife with over 25 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology. Sue Ellen’s experience includes 8 years in high-risk obstetrics in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has 4 years of experience in ASU’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program as the clinical coordinator and many years in low-risk obstetrics and gynecology.

Sue Ellen earned her RN degree from the University of Bridgeport and her BA in Economics at Rutgers University. She earned her certificate in Nurse-Midwifery from the State University of New York in 1991. She also earned a Registered Nurse Surgical First Assistant at the University of California – Los Angeles.

Sue Ellen has spoken and published on the topics of cesarean delivery wound complications, lifetime benefits of breastfeeding and adolescent sexuality and contraception. After 25 years in women’s health, she is still fascinated with obstetrics and loves to educate women so that they can be knowledgeable and confident.
