With over 2 decades of experience in Perinatology, Stephanie Hedstrom, MFM knows the importance of providing high-risk pregnant mothers with care designed specifically for them to achieve the very best outcomes. To accomplish this, Stephanie helps each patient understand that under her care they can expect more and receive more. Going above and beyond what is typically expected is always the goal and positive results tend to follow.

Working with 5 different healthcare organizations across 3 different states, Stephanie has maintained the same care mantra in each of her stops: “Always be kind and do the right thing for the patient. Never forget to be compassionate.” Stephanie’s values and mission match those of Valley Perinatal Services and make her a great fit for the organization.

Before coming to Valley Perinatal, Stephanie worked most recently with First Physician’s Group in Sarasota, Florida and spent time with Perinatology clinics and hospitals in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Stephanie earned a Bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri a Masters from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies and completed numerous residencies and fellowships over a 6-year period.

Her experience and dedication to her craft have earned Stephanie numerous awards including the Healthy Start Coalition 2018 Laura Gilbey Advocate Legacy Tribute for community service to pregnant women. Stephanie was recognized for establishing a coalition to help pregnant women with addiction and a support group for pregnant women with addiction issues.

Valley Perinatal and its patients are fortunate to have Stephanie’s services in our Mesa, Tucson and Sierra Vista locations.
