Dr. Ravindu “Ravi” Gunatilake is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist who is board certified in both MFM and OB/GYN. He has a special expertise in prenatal diagnosis, metabolic conditions and critical illness in pregnancy. Dr. Gunatilake, also known as “Dr. G”, pursued his passion for maternal-fetal medicine and graduated from University of Hawaii John A Burns School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Arizona followed by his fellowship in MFM at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina.

Dr. Gunatilake most recently serviced as the Medical Director of Obstetrical Services at the University of Oklahoma where he was recognized for his leadership in improving obstetrical quality and safety.

With a passion for the advancement of obstetrical care, Dr. Gunatilake has been heavily involved with a variety of research initiatives. He has been a principal investigator in several clinical/translational research studies. These studies have helped him author significant publications in the area of fetal origins of adult cardiometabolic disease, maternal obesity, and critical care. Dr. Gunatilake has received awards for biomedical research and faculty awards for medical student teaching.

In providing superior care, Dr. Gunatilake treats every patient with the respect and compassion that he would offer a dear family member. He views the 9 months of pregnancy as a “window of opportunity” for mothers to positively impact their offspring and looks forward to creating better outcomes for Mom and Baby.
