Ravi Gunatilake, MD

Bio

Dr. Ravindu “Ravi” Gunatilake is the director of clinical perinatal medicine for Valley Perinatal Services. Ravi is a board certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists. His background in health management, business, and patient care set him apart as a medical director and member of the management team.

Berkeley Geddes

CEO, Co-Founer

Bio

Berkeley is co-founder and CEO of Valley Perinatal Services. He is responsible for the progression and success of the organization and its employees. He is a serial entrepreneur who has started over 24 for profit businesses, 17 of which achieved market success. Berkeley co-founded Arizona’s largest veins disease service organization, Vanishing Veins. Prior to entering the medical market, Berkeley founded Gang of Four, co-founded WhizBang Labs, and launched FlipDog, and online recruiting website which was sold to Monster.com. He is passionate about improving the lives of everyone who comes in contact with Valley. Berkeley is the father of six and a devoted husband.

Wayne Pratt

Chief Financial Officer

Bio

Wayne is responsible for the financial viability of Valley Perinatal Services. He has been the CFO of multiple organization, including Unicorn Media, Inc., Syntax-Brillian Corporation, Limelight Networks, and many others. Wayne is the owner and CEO of Sherpa CFO, LLC, a premier provider of outsourced Chief Financial Officer services. He has over 30 years in finance and holds a degree in Accounting from Arizona State University. Wayne has lead numerous M&A transactions on both the buyer and seller sides. As a CFO, he helps build companies around a strategic vision. Wayne enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Bruce Law

Chief Marketing Officer

Bio

Bruce is responsible for generating awareness and brand recognition for Valley Perinatal Services. Over the past 15 years, Bruce has lead Sprout Marketing, a unique CMO-for-hire business designed to assist companies in getting started and growing successfully through better marketing. Because of Sprout, Bruce has been able to direct the marketing of more than 200 companies and launch over 500 products, including solutions for Intel and Lenovo. Bruce began his career in advertising at Ogilvy, New York where he served on the Lever Brothers, Owens-Corning Fiberglass and Hardee’s Foods accounts. He holds a BA in Advertising from BYU. He and his wife reside in Arizona and have four children and two grandchildren.

Chris Johnson

Bio

Chris is responsible for leveraging emerging technologies to optimize productivity. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering and has over 13 years of IT experience. He has a background in consulting and assisting businesses grow from infancy to financial success. He has a passion for identifying the strengths of an organization and developing optimal paths for reaching the highest potential. Chris has over a decade of experience of prenatal medical related information technologies services. He enjoys playing soccer and sharing outdoor experiences with his family.

Jeanette Guanajuato

Practice Manager

Bio

Jeanette is responsible for the successful daily operations, development and strategic growth of Valley Perinatal Services. She oversees the staff at multiple locations and reviews productivity, making staffing adjustments as needed. Jeanette works as an ambassador to patients, the public, physicians and staff. She started at the age of 16 as a PT Medical Records Clerk at a medical practice and has worked in the medical field for over 30 years, with 15 years experience in Practice Management. Jeanette moved to Arizona in 1996. She and her high school sweetheart recently celebrated their 30th anniversary. Jeannette loves to read and spend time with her 3 children and 3 grandchildren.

Wendy Meier

Business Development

Bio

Wendy is responsible for successful growth and development of Valley. She has over 25 years of consulting in professional healthcare administration and diverse management backgrounds. Her business interests and experience include business development, practice management, medical coding and reimbursement management. She is an active member of and past presenter with Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM), American Health Information (AHI), Management Association (AHIMA), and Academy of Procedural Coders (AAPC). Wendy enjoys spending time enjoying nature and reminiscing with family and friends.

Sandra Baca

Billing Operations

Bio

Sandra is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the contracting/credentialing and billing/collection. She is responsible for providing education to the physicians and other staff members of any changes in medical billing processes. Sandra also oversees reporting Valley’s company revenue information and presenting areas of opportunity in which their processes can be more streamlined. Sandra has a developed career in Revenue Cycle Management for over 20 years. She has an extensive knowledge in insurance plan requirements and has a keen awareness on how to organize and train the right people to implement perfect processes. She understands the end goal of any medical practice is to achieve and sustain financial viability. Sandra enjoys physical fitness activities and spending time with her kids and grandbabies.
